Description: Overview:PennDOT is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to support the Bureau of Public Transportation (BPT) Portal project. This is a mostly remote role with occasional in-person requirements at the PennDOT offices in Harrisburg, PA. Candidates must be available for on-site interviews, onboarding, and potential meetings. Applicants must reside within the U.S., and Pennsylvania residents must complete a PATCH check upon offer. Position Overview:Position OverviewAs a .NET Developer you will be responsible for developing and enhancing secure, responsive full-stack applications to enable transit agency grantees access to Power BI reports through a newly developed interface. You will work under the direction of the Technical Lead and Application Architect to design and implement back-end services and front-end experiences using modern frameworks and tools, ensuring performance, accessibility, and compliance with federal standards. Responsibilities:Develop and maintain web applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET, and C#Implement and optimize RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices architectureCreate and maintain complex SQL queries and manage data via Azure SQLDesign, build, and test UI components using Angular 14+, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptEnsure application responsiveness and mobile-first design principlesUtilize testing frameworks (XUnit/NUnit; preferred: Jasmine/Karma) for unit and integration testsBuild and manage containers (preferably Docker) and deploy via Azure servicesImplement accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADAIntegrate cloud services (Azure Functions, Queues, Storage, Key Vault, Container Registry)Use Git/Azure DevOps for code versioning and CI/CD processesDocument development processes and system enhancementsParticipate in occasional on-site meetings or training sessions in Harrisburg, PA Minimum Qualifications:8+ years of experience with .NET Core and C#8+ years building web apps with ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC/Core8+ years with SQL Server, T-SQL, and recent experience with Azure SQL8+ years of working with APIs, RESTful services, and microservicesProficient in using testing frameworks like XUnit or NUnitExperience with Entity Framework and/or Dapper ORMExperience in front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular 14+Knowledge of mobile-first, responsive web designFamiliarity with Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, and Git/Azure DevOpsSolid understanding of design patterns and SOLID principlesStrong knowledge of digital accessibility, WCAG 2.1, and Section 508 complianceExperience optimizing applications for accessibility (including WAI-ARIA) Preferred Experience:Preferred ExperienceExperience with Docker containerizationHands-on with cloud-native features (Azure Functions, Storage, Queues, etc.)Previous use of Bootstrap or jQuery in UI designFamiliarity with accessibility testing integration in development workflows2+ years’ experience with AngularJS, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQLExperience developing under a “definition of done” that includes accessibility complianceWhat We Do:What We Do:Working for GDC means you will be at the forefront of the technological world.
