Develop and support network fabric and systems. Develop and implement solutions for network issues, safely executing network changes. Participate in network lifecycle management through network build and/or upgrade projects. May participate in network solution and architecture design process. Participate in operational rotations as either primary or secondary. Provide break-fix support for events and may serve as escalation point for event remediation. Provide root cause analysis as needed. Develop scripts to automate routine tasks for team. May support network vendor software bug fixes. May telecommute. (385.34626)Employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Network Developer-related occupation. Position requires:1. Supporting the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – OCI;2. Development and support of network fabric and systems through a combination of networking at the protocol level coupled with programming skills to support the intensive automation required to operate a production environment;3. Network lifecycle management through network build or upgrade projects;4. Network solution and architecture design process;5. Developing standalone features;6. Providing break-fix support for events;7. Leading post-event root cause analysis;8. Coordinating with networking automation services for the development and integration of support tooling;9. Supporting network vendor software bug fixes; and10. Collaborating with network vendor technical account team and internal Quality Assurance team to drive bug resolution and assist in the qualification of new firmware or operatingsystems.Career Level – IC3Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred and at least 5 years of related experience. Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment. Exposure to commodity Ethernet hardware (Broadcom/Mellanox), protocol experience with BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS. Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL. Experience with Internet peering and inter-domain networking. Experience with scripting or automation and datacenter design – Python preferred, but must demonstrate knowledge in a scripting or compiled language. Experience with high level software design/development. Experience with automation systems, framework design/use and deployment. Experience with network modeling and programing – YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF. Knowledge of network security design, system performance characterization and testing. Knowledge of data flow and telemetry design, deployment and operation. Excellent judgment in influence for product roadmap direction, features, and priorities. Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. and demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Capable of working under limited supervision.
