Contract Days: 187Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements (ELA or Core Subjects 4-8/Generalist 4-8 and ESL)
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• At least one year student teaching or approved internship

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
