Description: Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Manager, Web Merchandising in San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA or Rocklin, CA. The schedule will be Monday – Thursday in-office; WFH Friday. Role Overview: Web merchandising is at the heart of our business. This position is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver the essential tools our brands need to showcase our product catalog online and to enable rapidly evolving merchandising strategies across our digital channels. You will collaborate with brand merchants, creative and technology teams to deliver new capabilities and streamlined workflows that enable brands to easily optimize web merchandising and online product assortment at scale. Details:

  • Building from the ground up – needs to be someone who can work well between internal users
  • Understanding requirements, current workflows of the business
  • Translate these business/workflow requirements into a technical solution (engineering)
  • Complex and a bit abstract – expected volume, how many products to update, how many SKU’s, response time, SLA to get content through to the website
  • Serve as a bridge
  • Change management – learning curve for users

Project Description:

  • Replacing their legacy web merchandising solution with a new, in-house build solution; This is a tool that merchants, creative teams, copy writers, etc. use to manage the online product assortment (i.e., categories, product information, SKU’s, images, cross-sell strategies, etc.)
  • The high-level architecture is defined, and foundation is being build, but we are still defining UI, detailed requirements, integration points, etc.
  • This Product Manager will take the lead representing the business, owns requirements, works closely with architecture, UX and engineering, and drives the roll-out and brand adoption
  • 5+ years of product management or business analyst experience within a retail-technology organization
  • Deep experience in web merchandising solutions in large catalog organizations
  • Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale eCommerce projects from vision through implementation
  • Strong stakeholder management – experience being the lead representing the business, owning requirements gathering and documentation in the form of user stores
  • Experience being involved in change management efforts, as a result of the new application/software delivered
  • High technical aptitude (understand abstract concepts, understand complex workflow requirements and communicate those to engineering)
  • Retail experience – understanding of products, categories, product information, SKU’s, images and generally web merchandising

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computers, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong drive towards execution; can-do type of person
  • Good communication skills and an ability to lead and influence others
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
