UC’s annual budget stands at $1.85 billion, and its endowment totals nearly $1.8 billion.Job OverviewThe Program Director (PD) is a strategic leader responsible for partnering with academic leadership and faculty to implement and oversee academic programs within a Division. This role involves managing a team of Program Managers and Coordinators to ensure the successful implementation of academic initiatives, alignment with institutional priorities, and achievement of divisional objectives. The PD advances the College’s mission by fostering collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the seamless operation of academic programs while focusing on long-term strategic goals. Reporting to the Divisional Dean, the PD works closely with Academic Unit Heads, the Division’s Business Administrator, and faculty leadership, operating as part of a dynamic team with flexibility to adapt to evolving responsibilities.Essential Functions1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement long-term action plans to advance academic program priorities in collaboration with faculty and academic leadership.
  • Support faculty and academic leadership to design and oversee high-quality academic programming.
  • Establish measurable objectives for academic programs to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

2. Team Management

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of Program Managers and Coordinators.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage hiring processes, and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Build a cohesive team culture to drive operational efficiency and program success.

3. Collaboration

  • Partner with Academic Unit Heads and faculty directors to streamline program operations.
  • Work closely with other Program Directors to ensure cross-divisional alignment and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with Unit and Divisional leadership to enhance program quality and student success.
  • Coordinate with faculty to address program needs and challenges, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Partner with the Divisional Business Administrator to manage and oversee program budgets and financial operations where they intersect with academic operations.
  • Direct a team of program staff to ensure timely execution of academic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty and divisional leadership to implement high-quality academic programs.
  • Create and manage short- and long-term action plans to achieve divisional objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with other Program Directors to deliver training and streamline processes across the College.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Eight (8) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Four (4) years of experience in program development or business administration.
  • Some positions may require one (1) year of supervision.
