We are additionally looking for job captains and a senior project manager.We are an architectural studio specializing in multi-family and mixed-use housing with extensive experience in publicly funded housing in the City of Los Angeles. We are continuously expanding our expertise in adaptive reuse, repurposing, peer review services, interim housing and service centers for mentally ill and individuals with substance abuse and boutique hospitality project and services types among others. Experience in the design of Affordable Housing is a plus.Job SummaryProject Architect / Job Captain is a professional who oversees the development of the design of a project collaborating with the managing/studio director along with the production of the construction documents. This individual oversees the construction administration of a project.While a team effort, the PA is heavily relied upon to ensure the quality, accuracy, and professionalism of the instruments of service and the facilitation of the final architectural product. Code knowledge is also crucial along with an ability to lead a team of architects and designers, communicate well, and have proficiency in a wide range of software.Partial remote work options considered.Responsibilities and DutiesAbility to provide test fits/ pre-design studies for multi-family projects in the City of Los Angeles (strong understanding of local zoning codes)Strong design abilities that meet the firm’s approach and mission in designAbility to create a program as well as translate it into a sensible concept designResponsible for the accuracy of design and documentsResponsible to ensure all client expectations and code requirementsResponsible for scheduling and staffing.
