Description: The SASIC Arts and Cultural Coordinator will provide guidance, and support to the SASIC Program Director, SASIC Case Management Coordinator, SASIC Support Specialists, and other members of the SASIC team. As a member of the clinical team, the SASIC Arts and Cultural Coordinator is a vital part of communication across teams and community partners, ensuring positive interactions with, and representation of the Executive Leadership Team in decisions that support agency growth and development.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, schedules, and provides arts and cultural programing for SASIC clients.
  • Coordinates annual arts and cultural event showcasing SASIC client art.
  • Provides trauma-informed treatment services.
  • Provides client advocacy and assistance when needed.
  • Connects clients to community resources.
  • Conducts outreach to refugee and immigrant communities.
  • Coordinates with community partners including other refugee resettlement agencies.
  • Provides and/or coordinates educational workshops for community partners.
  • Provides clinical and non-clinical intake assessments and treatment planning with SASIC clients.
  • Carries a case management caseload.
  • Facilitates or co-facilitates support groups, and arts and culture activity groups including children’s groups.
  • Must be able to facilitate men and women’s art and educational workshops.
  • Manages children’s art groups and childcare activities during adult group programs.
  • In partnership with other SASIC team members, ensures that best practice treatment services are utilized.
  • Receives one hour of individual supervision per week with SASIC Program Supervisor.
  • Provides timely and accurate supervision reports, as required by agency and licensing standards.
  • Ensures that treatment standards are met as specified in contracts or special grants and agency protocols in terms of timeliness of service, number and duration of services, and timelines of paperwork and report completion.
  • Adheres to agency protocols, legal and contract requirements, and professional standards.
  • Completes and maintains thorough entries in the clients’ electronic health record.
  • Maintains case records according to agency protocols and contract requirements.

WORK HOURS, SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITYThis position works weekdays, occasional weekends, and at least one evening per week. There may be evening and weekends that will require your attendance in order to best represent the Agency. Some flexibility in scheduling exists, as long as agency needs are being adequately addressed.COMMUNICATION AND INTERFACE

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • Prior case management experience.
  • Knowledge of art, art education, and/or applying art in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to obtain Fingerprint Clearance and pass a background check if required.
  • Working knowledge of community resources.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mentality, responsive, and strong work ethic.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Central Asian and Persian Culture.
  • Awareness of cultural components of Islam.
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations.
  • Prior experience working with refugees and specifically refugee youth.

Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance and pass a background check

Salary: $25 – 28.12 per hour
