We are constantly building a professional learning community where teachers and partners are having the hard conversations and we are pushing each other to get better at our craft.Exemplary ColleaguesWhen you decide to join the PCCS team, you are choosing to work with award-winning professionals who strive together to Create Natural Leaders. that children are our best hope to improve the world, and if you do too, we want you to join our team.Job DescriptionSupports students, staff, and families with a focus on mental health, personal growth, and overall well-beingCompletes tailored psychoeducational evaluations for special education servicesWorks collaboratively with team members to gather and utilize evaluation data to help inform IEP/504 development, draft behavior intervention plans via the functional behavioral assessment process, and communicate effectively with families to help support their child’s growth and developmentAttends and is an active participant in the Student Support Team, MTSS, Team Meetings, and IEP/504 Meetings as appropriate.Counsels individuals and leads Social Academic Instructional GroupsPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Special Education, Deans, and other central office administrators as designated by the Executive DirectorKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of current educational pedagogy, trauma-informed and restorative practices, the Illinois SEL standards and components of quality social-emotional teaching practices, the problem-solving and evaluation processes, and applicable federal and state laws regarding education and studentsSkilled in data analysis, collaboration, and consultation practicesDisplays effective and efficient organization and time management skillsExhibits strong verbal and written communication skills which are clear, child-focused, inclusive, and respectfulEngages in self-reflection and self-evaluation with a growth mindsetEstablishes and maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with team membersEducation/ExperienceMS or EdS in School Psychology from an accredited college or university is requiredIllinois Professional Educator License is requiredNCSP credential is a plusType 75 license is a plusEnvironmental education background and/or a love for the environment is a plusSalary and BenefitsBase salary: Starts @ $41,441 annually and based upon Collective Bargaining Agreement (depending on experience, education & qualifications).Benefits Package includes competitive PTO as well as:Health Insurance:Various Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage options are available.Retirement:Participation in the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS).403 B PlanProfessional Development:Funding for professional development opportunities, including conferences and workshops.Work Schedule and Hours:The position is from mid-August to the first part of JuneHours are negotiable; full-time or part-timeHybrid work can be discussedPCCS is an equal-opportunity employer and fully embraces diversity and inclusion.
