Job Ttitle: School Registrar

Description: Summary: The School Registrar manages and maintains accurate student records, coordinates registration processes, supports attendance and truancy improvement initiatives, and supports the attendance and school counseling offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all student records both in electronic and hard-copy formats
  • Monitors daily attendance records
  • Monitors dissemination of school level attendance communication
  • Compiles reports to support the tracking of student academic progress, attendance data, truancy data, dropout data, cohort data and other required data
  • Assists with the school-based attendance team, in order to increase attendance rates and decrease the percentage of chronically truant students
  • Oversees Dual Enrollment registration, record maintenance, student progress and degree progression
  • Monitors and tracks student enrollment and transfers both into and out of the school district
  • Generates and submits all senior transcripts pertaining to acquiring diploma and post-secondary institutions
  • Supports the maintenance and accuracy of student transcripts
  • Oversees the enrollment and withdrawal of students and requesting and sending of student records
  • Provides support for the yearly registration and scheduling process
  • Assists with the creation and implementation of the master schedule
  • Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments

Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and hold a valid Louisiana teaching certificate. Four or more years of experience working in a K-12 educational setting. A Master’s Degree or higher preferred.

Technological Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in general use of a computer, the use of Email as a form of communication, and other job-specific equipment, software, and/or applications.Note: New employees coming to EBRPSS/current employees new to a position, must use the Verifient website to verify qualifying years of experience (outside of EBRPSS) aligned to the job description.
