We provide unparalleled capabilities with our lab analysis, sample management and storage services, informatics software, and consumables, with the largest installed base managing over 1 billion samples globally.How You’ll Make an ImpactThe Project Manager position is a non-bench role that works closely with customers and the lab to effectively manage customers’ interaction with Azenta Life Sciences. This is a customer-facing role that is communication heavy and involves no lab work.What You’ll Do

  • Independently design and/or troubleshoot complex issues with gene synthesis, cloning, mutagenesis, library synthesis, and custom molecular biology projects.
  • Provide customized consultation services (both written and oral) based on an intrinsic knowledge of Azenta’s service options for Molecular biology and gene synthesis services
  • Develop new operational procedures and improve existing procedures based on customers’ feedback.
  • Be able to effectively summarize and clearly report on a wide range of service line related tasks
  • Work in collaboration with molecular biology scientists in other operations teams to help troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Drive execution of projects in a manner that achieves delivery, project goals/objectives, and the agreed upon plan without compromising project deliverables or relationships.
  • Review and sign-off on quotes and project reports written by junior group members

What You Will Bring

  • A PhD in Molecular Biology or a related discipline is preferred
  • A Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline with 2+ years of lab experience is acceptable
  • 0-4 years post-doctoral work experience
  • Expertise in a range of molecular biology techniques, including gene synthesis, PCR, molecular cloning, mutagenesis, vector design, and troubleshooting
  • Team player with a strong customer orientation
  • Ability to multi-task with a drive to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented, with strong recordkeeping skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; both verbal and written
