As a Scientist in Analytical Chemistry supporting Research and Development, you will be primarily responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic or inorganic compounds and biologics, determining chemical and physical properties, and developing analytical techniques. This role is on-site in Johns Creek, GA. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Handle complex tasks and contribute to advanced projects using your expertise in analytical chemistry
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Make significant decisions within your project area, requiring technical skills and adherence to procedures.
  • Support the advancement of analytical chemistry practices and project outcomes, acting as a subject matter expert and go-to person for complex challenges within your field.
  • Handle high-impact projects requiring strategic thinking and problem-solving, collaborating cross-functionally to achieve broader business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives, propose innovative solutions, and mentor mid-level or junior contributors.
  • Focus on deepening your technical knowledge and professional development

What You’ll Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs).
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in chemistry lab experience (hands on).
  • Literature search and apply knowledge in daily work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
