Reports To: Head of SchoolPosition Summary:River City Believers Academy is seeking a creative and Christ-honoring Secondary Art Teacher to lead students in exploring their God-given creativity through visual arts. This position serves middle and high school students, encouraging both artistic skill and spiritual growth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the arts, grounded in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and committed to helping students see and reflect the beauty of God’s creation through their work.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging art lessons for grades 5–12 that promote artistic expression, skill development, and appreciation of diverse artistic styles.
• Integrate biblical truths and a Christian worldview into the art curriculum and classroom culture.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters creativity, respect, and enthusiasm for learning.
• Plan and facilitate individual and group projects using various media (drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art,
• etc.).
• Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and at events as appropriate.
• Maintain classroom supplies, equipment, and a safe and organized workspace.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school-wide events, programs, and spiritual development.
• Serve as a spiritual mentor and role model for students.

Qualifications:

• A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A clear calling to Christian education and the discipleship of young people.
• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Secondary teaching certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
• Experience teaching art at the middle and/or high school level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of art techniques, art history, and creative instruction.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for helping students develop their identity in Christ through creative expression.
