Description: Closing Date: Wednesday, July 9th,2025 at 9:00 PM (PST)Position: Senior Art Program LeaderDepartment: Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Community Services – Arts and MuseumsHourly Range: $22.04 – $25.51Classification: TemporaryNon-Exempt – Overtime EligibleJob Summary:The Senior Art Program Leader is a key team lead at MOAH: CEDAR, responsible for coordinating creative programs, workshops, and special events while supporting daily operations and public engagement. This role includes overseeing Art Program Leaders, with a focus on staff training, program quality, and visitor experience. Working closely with museum leadership and the Sr. Technical Assistant, the Senior Art Program Leader helps plan exhibitions, assist with installations, and ensure strong departmental communication and collaboration.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Example of Duties & Responsibilities:Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Train, support, and oversee Art Program Leaders to ensure effective program delivery
  • Coordinate with the Curatorial Assistant and senior staff to support daily museum operations
  • Assist in planning, setup, and execution of public programs, workshops, and special events
  • Lead and facilitate community workshops, tours, and educational activities
  • Support the installation and deinstallation of artwork and exhibitions
  • Help maintain clean, safe, and functional museum facilities
  • Aid in internal communications and enhance public engagement and outreach
  • Track and manage museum inventory, supplies, and equipment needs
  • Strengthen relationships between the community, MOAH, and MOAH: CEDAR through active art programming and inclusive community engagement opportunities

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Arts or a related field is desirable
  • Four years of experience in planning & conducting community-wide or city-wide recreation programs
