Description: DescriptionWe are hiring a Senior Developer who will design, deploy, troubleshoot, and act as an independent decision-maker and project lead large and complex development projects and programming tasks. Design, deploy, and determine development solutions, plan, and coordinate the implementation of database installs, enhancements, and upgrades. Manage, develop, and support the digital services including online banking, mobile banking and ancillary systems and platforms. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to management.Administer and support the Symitar development environment, SQL database infrastructure, Symitar database instances, client-side applications, provide Top Tier development support, maintain Symitar/RepGen code, Symitar performance tuning & operations, SYM management, install Symitar releases and patches, SYM/database backups and restores, deploy and use of Symitar/SQL management tools, and troubleshooting.Business Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:30PMBased upon business needs, our positions may require working flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours.This position is based in Anaheim Hills CA with the opportunity to work on a hybrid-remote schedule which consists of 1 day in-office and 4 days working remote from home.Why Work at CU SoCal?CU SoCal is one of the fastest growing credit unions and is more than just a place to work.   • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of progressive software development experience in a Windows and Episys environment.
  • Possess industry certifications (MCSD, SQL, C/C++, AWS, CSSLP, ISC, PMP, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming or relevant experience.
  • Experience working at a credit union or within the financial services industry.

  • Comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to Information Security, OFAC and BSA regulations corresponding to assigned job duties.

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Applied knowledge of RepGen, PowerOn, SymForm, SQL, HTML, CSS, .NET, scripting languages and online/mobile banking platforms.
  • Applied knowledge of change management procedures and the Software Development Life Cycle including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Practical, working knowledge of Episys, Microsoft SQL, personal computing systems, Microsoft Office, and network operating systems.
  • Proficient in applicable MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Symitar development environment, SQL database infrastructure, database instances, client-side applications, connections, provide Top Tier development support, maintain Symitar/RepGen code, maintain SQL procedures, Symitar operations and checklists, database management, install Symitar releases and patches, SYM backups and restores, deploy and use of Symitar/SQL management tools, and SQL server configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate security of code and applications prior to implementation and ensure SDLC policies are maintained and adhered to.
  • Analyze, develop, test and implement code in the Symitar environment including RepGen using PowerOn and other coding tools to create, troubleshoot or repair new applications, products, functionality, reports and user input screens. Provide help desk support by phone, in person or using the help desk ticketing system.
  • Develop, maintain and support the Digital environment for online banking, mobile banking and bill pay including deployment of new features and updates for both web and mobile platforms. Develop detailed program specifications and logic flow charts for use in coding and documenting Symitar features, applications, programs and PowerOn work.
  • Collect and analyze user requirements for requests and new programming and ensure development is successfully completed including research, development, testing, and implementation. Work with department and business unit management to comprehensively evaluate current system use, review current and upcoming technologies, and recommend system solutions/architectures to support existing and future business needs.
  • Provide operational and on-call rotation support as required in a 24/7 environment.
  • Complete understanding and active application the Exceptional Experience Guide expectations.
  • Must be able and available to work a “hybrid” schedule, per business operations requirement, as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

We support Pay Transparency and are a pay-for-performance organization that benchmarks base pay to the 50th percentile of market data.Pay Scale: Min $115,800 / Mid $154,336 / Max $188,240* per year*Actual compensation will be based on geographical location, work experience, education and/or skill level.CU SoCal is an equal opportunity employer.
