Description: Employment Type: Full timeShift:Description:(Sorry we cannot sponsor an H1b visa nor support a STEM OPT EAD for this role.)Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with deep expertise in IT Operations Management (ITOM)—specifically Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management—to lead the development and optimization of our ServiceNow platform. In addition to ITOM, this role will support enhancements and maintenance across other key modules including ITSM, ITAM, DevOps (Agile), and SecOps.This is a high-impact role that requires both technical depth and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the platform delivers value across the enterprise.Primary Responsibilities – ITOM Focus

  • Discovery: Work with our ITSM-Configuration Mgt team to configure and optimize MID Servers, credentials, probes, and sensors to ensure accurate and secure discovery of infrastructure components across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Service Mapping: Build and maintain dynamic and static service maps to support CMDB accuracy, incident resolution, and change impact analysis (e.g. Dynatrace).
  • Event Management: Not currently rolled out. However, work with implementor to roll out Event Management. Integrate with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Splunk) to ingest and correlate events, reduce alert noise, and drive proactive incident response.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts, patterns, and integrations to support ITOM workflows. (e.g. Integration Hub ETL, Service Graph Connectors, and Apigee)
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure alignment between discovered data and operational needs.

Secondary Responsibilities – Platform & Module Support

  • Support development and configuration across modules including:
  • ITSM: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge
  • ITAM: Hardware and Software Asset Management
  • SecOps: Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response
  • Design and implement workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and notifications.
  • Maintain and enhance Service Portal and CMS components.
  • Perform instance management, update set promotion, and release coordination.
  • Assist with reporting, dashboard creation, and performance analytics.
  • Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for platform issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification highly desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, DevOps (Agile), and SecOps.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SOAP, and REST APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow architecture and scripting.
  • Experience creating update sets and managing deployments across multiple instances.
  • Demonstrated understanding of service management processes and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
  • pay grade 15 range 96,319.82-144,479.7275 Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in healthcare or information technology and a minimum of seven (7) years of Microsoft, web, social media or interface technology experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced to expert technical proficiency with Microsoft, web, social media or interface programming languages, applications, tools and utilities.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge and experience with client, interface or integration environment.
  • Proven ability to design system-wide, integrated solutions with other specialists and architects.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing healthcare software applications and/or related revenue applications, interfaces and clinical applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the application and the business line being supported.
  • Ability to provide routine mentoring and technical guidance to support staff.
  • Ability to provide staff support for business and technical projects, assignments and analysis.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
  • Strong customer service skills. Ability to interface with internal business analysts, hospital client users and external vendors.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work in teams and with direct supervision.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues. Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communications. The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same period and adapt to interruptions.
  • The incumbent must be capable of traveling in the course of completing project assignments.
