State-of-the-art technology enables doctors to provide our patients with the most accurate diagnoses and the most effective treatment.About the Job:Southern New Hampshire Health System strives to inspire wellness, heal our patients, and serve with compassion in every interaction. Perform laboratory testing on clinical specimens and provide accurate laboratory test data to appropriate clinical personnel in order to assist them in making informed medical decisions. Have basic abilities in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the laboratory equipment which produces this test data.What You’ll Do:Accurately and precisely read and work up cultures using various analyzers and/or manual methods for identification and susceptibility testing. Must be able to multitask while performing several duties that include but not limited to performing technical bench work, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, answering technical phone calls, performing stat molecular testing, all while maintaining the integrity and quality of lab work throughout the processes.Remains knowledgeable and proficient in use of laboratory information systems, computer applications, and computer-controlled instrumentation. Preferred areas include Epic Beaker, Lab Pro, Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Web Browsers, etc…Maintain records and documentation to adhere to regulations, including all safety requirements, set forth by regulatory agencies such as DNV, CAP, Medicare, Medicaid and Southern New Hampshire Health System Laboratory policies and procedures.Fills vacancies and accommodates schedule changes when necessary.Who You Are:Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Science or related field OR an equivalent combination of experience and education required. Individuals have up to two years from date of hire to complete degree requirements.Exam eligible required (Certification as an MT or MLS preferred)Basic knowledge of Clinical Laboratory functionsKnowledge of basic Microsoft functions (Excel/Word). Ability to communicate effectively with staff and co-workersOrganizational skills, ability to read, write and communicate in English.
