Kennedy Middle/High SchoolSalary/Pay Scale: $43,953 – $54,207 commensurate with experience (with an additional $2,200 for a Master’s Degree as per the TAC contract)Position Summary/Purpose:In the Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD, the faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a positive student-centered learning environment that recognizes all students’ unique needs and talents by combining character education with a curriculum based on critical thinking. The emphasis is on teaching the whole child to create lifelong learners who are best prepared for college, careers, and beyond.RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:

• Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Standards
• Have a strong background and/or experience in designing engaging lessons that enhance collaborative learning and critical thinking skills
• Create and deliver lessons grounded in evidence-based practices and current formative data
• Create a welcoming classroom environment where every student feels respected and supported
• Manage student behavior in the classroom with appropriate disciplinary techniques and utilize restorative practices
• Be expected to serve as a role model for the students, staff, and the community by setting high expectations for learners and supporting them in reaching their goals
• Assesses skills, collects data, monitors student progress, and evaluates growth to make recommendations for instruction and support
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and backgrounds
• Serve as an active member of our professional learning community
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or her designee

Requirements:

• Language other than English, Spanish Certification (7-12)
