Description: The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for its Substitute Teacher Pool for the 2025 Special Education Extended School Year – Summer Learning Center Program.Certified teachers are needed to provide per diem substitute coverage for teacher absences. Substitutes will follow lesson plans to teach remediation in reading, math, and social skills to students in grades K-12 based on student needs, and as articulated in the IEP’s of enrolled students. Assignments are based on availability and may allow for advance scheduling in some cases.In order to be eligible for these positions, the applicant must hold a valid Pennsylvania instructional or specialist certificate in any certification subject area, or possess equivalent authorization in the form of a college/university placeholder letter indicating completion of a PDE approved teacher preparation program, along with evidence of passing scores on relevant certifiaction exams while certification is pending.DEADLINE TO APPLY: Monday, March 31, 2024 promptly at 4:00 PMRate: $38.00 per hourLocation: Jefferson Middle & Elementary School ComplexSession Days: Monday through Thursday

Week 3: 07/07/25 – 07/10/25 (All Students)
Week 4: 07/14/25 – 07/17/25 (All Students)
Week 5: 07/21/25 – 07/24/25 (All Students)EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be eligible for employment in Pennsylvania public schools, the following clearances, trainings, and forms are required by the Mt. Lebanon School District upon hire:
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) dated within the past 12 months of hire
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34) dated within the past 12 months of hire
FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114) dated within the past 12 months of hire
Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
School Personnel Health Record (Physical including TB test) dated within the past 12 months of hire

Salary: $38 per hour
