- The primary functions of the teacher is to plan, guide, and evaluate the learning process of the students for whom they are responsible within the framework of the school organization and curriculum.
- Able to work effectively with a wide range of students; able to work effectively with the staff and administration; effectively communicate with other staff, administration, students, parents and community; familiar with and applies appropriate reading instruction.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
- Demonstrates thorough lesson preparation using a variety of methods and materials.
- Evaluates student performance.
- Provides for individual differences in students.
- Employs positive motivational techniques.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of subject matter.
- Uses appropriate disciplinary measures both within the classroom and throughout the school.
- Exhibits classroom organization.
- Completes and maintains records or forms as required.
- Follows policies and procedures of the school and School Corporation.
- Fulfills duty assignments conscientiously.
- Communicates with parents in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Develops rapport with students.
