• Possession of Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Understanding and experience with curriculum design planning and instruction.

Essential Job Skills:

• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes as well as developing selecting and modifying instructional plans and materials to meet all student needs
• Plan, organize and provide instruction based on Common Core State Standards
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessments, diagnosis, and research related to learning
• Works cooperatively with the administration and staff to schedule meetings
• Participate in district-wide and building committees related to educational and employment matters
• Clearly communicate the instructional purpose of lessons, and directions and procedures are clearly explained. The educator’s explanation of content is clear and accurate and connects with the student’s knowledge and experience. Educators’ spoken and written language is clear and correct. Vocabulary is appropriate to the students’ ages and interests.
