Product Creative uses artistic and technical skills to create the vision and experiences that make Meta Wearables trend-setting, distinct, and loved by customers. The Technical Art Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and driving the technical art team responsible for building and supporting art and interactive experiences for Meta wearables. They will establish partnerships across multiple cross-functional teams, including product, design, marketing, and more. They will manage the creation of high-quality content, scale systems, and grow a multidisciplinary team.Technical Art Manager, Wearables Product Creative ResponsibilitiesWorking with the Product Creative leads, and mentor and empower technical artists to support a wide range of projectsPartner with designers, artists, product managers, engineers, and leaders to define technical art scope and pipelinesProvide hands-on technical art contributions when needed, and engage with technical artists on the technical aspects of their workHelp grow the team by sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new team membersConceptualise, present, and execute technical solutions or content strategies within time and technical constraintsQuickly solve complex problems with cross-functional leads and drive innovative and impactful solutionsDrive progress at people and project-facing levels by building new partnerships and supporting team growth and prioritisationMinimum QualificationsExperience with real-time systems and game engines (e.g., Unity and/or Unreal)Experience managing a technical team working on a product with stringent runtime performance constraints, such as complex mobile or 3D applications or gamesExperience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniquesDemonstrated experience in cross-functional communication and leading zero-to-one initiativesExperience working with engineering teams in day-to-day operations, such as sprints, bug bashes, etcExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Demonstrated experience proactively identifying, scoping, and implementing innovative solutionsPreferred QualificationsExperience working on a product team and/or technology company, for an interactive, technical art-related productPractical experience and knowledge of low level real-time graphics pipeline conceptsExperience in shader languages (GLSL, ShaderLab, HLSL)For those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click for additional information.About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
