Description: DescriptionJesuit Dallas Visual Art TeacherJesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to teach high school art in a Catholic all-male setting. This teacher will be expected to:

• Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit.
• Teach, in cooperation with course level teams, five sections of visual art or the equivalent.
• Collaborate with members of the Fine Arts Department in on-going curriculum development and review.
• Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
• Engage in on-going professional development.
• Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Studio Art, Design, Art Education or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in photography and digital art.
• Ability to moderate yearbook preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
• May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time.
• Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
