Description: DescriptionA Brief OverviewAssists in the development of complex user applications based on user requirements, usability, accessibility, and security needs. In addition, the Web Developer is responsible for assisting with the support of all applications implemented by the development team. What You Will Do

  • Assists in developing customized applications to enhance website capabilities.
  • Develops products that utilize web services including SOA, WCF, and JSON.
  • Utilizes existing coding standards, source control policies, coding patterns and practices, and Microsoft Enterprise Library and custom library objects.
  • Participates in application design and development discussions with clients and management to determine client needs and ensure that product adheres to established specifications and standards.
  • Participates in work with application analysts, vendors and users to insure system integrations.
  • Participates in the escalation of issues with appropriate internal resources.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of system documentation.
  • Assists with the technical support of assigned applications.
  • Involved with all phases of project implementation.
  • Utilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards.
  • Performs call rotation duties as required.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

QualificationsEducation

  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
  • Bachelor’s Degree In Computer Science/Business Management (Preferred)

Work Experience

  • Experience with one or more of these languages:• C#• T-SQL• JavaScript / JQuery• WCF• Visual Studio• IIS (Required) and
  • Experience working within the Agile and SCRUM software development methodology (Preferred)
  • 3+ years experience with the following web authoring languages, database technologies, methodologies, tools and technologies: C# T-SQL Microsoft .NET ASP.NET JavaScript / JQuery Web Services Visual Studio IIS Agile and SCRUM software development methodology SQL Server (Preferred) and
  • 1+ years Experience in IT Healthcare (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of current technology and trends. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative software development environment. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to research and analyze information. (Required proficiency)
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability. (Required proficiency)
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. (Required proficiency)
