Location: REMOTE positionJob Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Commission project team to define website requirements, including accessibility and compliance considerations.
  • Develop a project timeline and manage milestones for design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Create and present website mockups; incorporate iterative feedback from stakeholders.
  • Build and implement a responsive, accessible website based on approved mockups.
  • Support testing and issue resolution prior to launch.
  • Lead deployment and communication on the website’s go-live date.
  • Maintain the website post-launch, updating content related to CAC meetings and public information as directed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
  • Experience with server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python).
  • Familiarity with content management system (CMS) platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Contentful).
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
  • Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.
