This role is not eligible for any benefits under any benefit plan of PayPal, PayPal Affiliates, or their respective successors and assigns.LocationCandidates in Austin, TX are preferred for a hybrid schedule, however remote candidates may be considered.About the RoleWe are modernizing a framework offering to adhere to industry best practices around TypeScript and Unit Test frameworkResponsibilities

• Preliminary analysis
• Migrate to monorepo
• Migrate unit tests to vitest (example PR)
• Convert to typescript (optional per module)
• Structural refactoring (optional per module)
• Dependency injection for deprecating/migrating core functionality (e.g. observability, config, etc)
• Pull up adaptor functionality from express/callback embedment (enable new frameworks)
• Test and release new module versions in full SDLC

Basic Qualifications

• Experienced web platform engineer with deep expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and building scalable internal libraries and frameworks.
• Proven track record supporting enterprise teams with reusable tooling, API layer architecture, and performance-focused backend solutions.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $55.07/hour – $73.42/hourBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
