We design for two key user bases: our clients, and *** Financial Advisors, whose job it is to guide clients through financial milestones big and small. [We are looking for a UX Designer to help us enhance our wealth management client experience. This will enable us to scale our engagement with clients and create multi-channel growth opportunities, positioning us to become a leading provider for a new market. As a UX designer for this product, you will help design this new offering from the ground up.]Once here you will…

  • Working closely with the UX lead, help execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process
  • Understand the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients
  • Craft intuitive and elegant experiences that empower our clients to make confident financial decisions
  • Work closely with our research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs
  • Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization
  • Form holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our wealth management product ecosystem
  • Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products
  • Work closely with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm
  • Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance

Relevant experience and mindset…

  • You’ve spent 2 years as a UX designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched
  • You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferably, master’s degree a plus
  • You have excellent skills in Figma and Adobe CC
  • You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team that you can bounce ideas off of, get critical feedback from, and unite with to mature design thinking within a large organization
  • You practice active listening and contribute in group situations (i.e. brainstorms, audits, critiques, whiteboard sessions, etc.)
  • You get excited by complex projects with high levels of ambiguity and are resilient in the face of obstacles
  • You have a relentless desire to validate assumptions and uncover a problem’s root cause by testing, learning, and iterating
  • You have a knack for balancing user goals, technology needs and business objectives and can clearly explain the rationale for your designs and how they achieve both
  • You constantly seek opportunities to evangelize and promote design thinking in a large organization
  • Work experience in Banking or Lending products is a plus
